Elon Musk awarded Ukraine’s Order of Freedom as Zelensky urges him to expand Starlink access

Elon Musk has been honored with Ukraine's Order of Freedom, a high civilian award, in recognition of his company SpaceX's crucial role in providing Starlink internet services to the country during its ongoing conflict with Russia. The award was presented by Ukrainian Ambassador Oksana Markarova in Los Angeles.

The presentation coincides with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's renewed appeal to Musk to maintain and potentially expand Starlink's availability. Starlink has been vital for maintaining communication networks for Ukrainian military and civilian use since the Russian invasion began, enabling everything from battlefield coordination to civilian access to information and connectivity in areas where traditional infrastructure has been destroyed.
