A Minnesota judge has ruled that Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, XAI, cannot block the state's ban on AI-generated explicit content featuring recognizable individuals. The ban, enacted last year, prohibits the creation and distribution of "deepfake" pornography. XAI, which develops AI models like Grok, had argued that the law was overly broad and infringed on free speech.

This ruling comes as governments worldwide grapple with the ethical and legal implications of advanced AI. The ability to create realistic but fabricated images raises concerns about privacy, defamation, and the spread of misinformation.
